Several departmental team members are closely involved with the schooling of students of Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Radiation Physics and Biotechnology. The Department is certified to offer full training to specialist candidates in Nuclear Medicine. The Department also offers an internship service for training in Radiation Physics and Radiopharmacy. Furthermore, as part of a European project - - National Agency Leonardo da Vinci Netherlands – the Department offers an internship facility for the course on Medical Imaging and Radiotherapeutic Techniques of the Hanzehogeschool Groningen. Within the framework of the IAEA fellowships (International Atomic Energy Agency), the Department also regularly welcomes interns from developing countries for practical training.
