This is where the patients’ health condition is assessed and information provided to them about possible anaesthetic techniques. Preoperative consultation is available to patients who are eligible for one-day surgery and those who require additional preoperative fine-tuning or treatment, or following a specific request by the consulting surgeon or by patients themselves. As part of this consultation, a specific Cooperation Protocol has been drawn up with consulting family doctors.
