The Acute Pain Unit

The Acute Pain Unit deals with the provision of adequate pain treatment during the first days following surgery. It also provides an on-call medical service for such treatments. An Anaesthetist and a graduate nurse (Pain Nurse) will monitor the pain treatments and adjust these in consultation with the patient and the consulting surgeons.
