What do we do?

Adults suffering from skins diseases can call on the Dermatology Department for an examination, diagnosis and treatment. Children may call on the Children’s Hospital Dermatologists.

The Admissions Unit Dermatology is integrated within the general Internal Medicine-Infectiology Department. This setup is not haphazard: skin conditions can be highly contagious and require a specialised medical and nursing approach. Examples include Cellulitis or Erysipelas and Chronic Infectious Ulcers.

The Admissions Unit also treats patients with extensive Erythroderma, Blister Disease (Bulleus Pemphigoid), Pyoderma Gangrenosum and drug reactions such as Erythema or Stevens-Johnson Syndrome.
