About us
The Reference Centre for Mucoviscidosis at UZ Brussel and its full team ensures permanent, specialist care for patients suffering from Mucoviscidosis and their families. UZ Brussel has built up a long tradition of treatment of Mucoviscidosis. We know from experience that a multidisciplinary approach to care delivers the best results. When visiting our centre, you will meet a number of professional carers with different, but complementary skills whose aim is to provide you with the best possible healthcare. Mucoviscidosis is a hereditary disease which (for the time being) remains incurable. Early diagnosis and the treatment of the disease’s symptoms help to stabilise or slow down its progression and increase patients’ quality of life.
