Your rights and obligations

Patients in hospital are required to abide by various rules. Naturally patients also have rights. If you want to know your rights as a patient, please click on the following link.

A personal file will be created containing your personal data. You are entitled to review this file. If you wish to see this file, please write a letter including a copy of your ID card to UZ Brussel’s Chief Physician, your consulting doctor or Ombudswoman. You may be charged a maximum of € 25.
 
Should you wish to entrust a third person with your medical information, then you may nominate a confidant. A special form is available which you should hand over to your doctor and have added to your patient file. You may consult this form online by following the link below. You may at all times revoke this designation.
