Donors
All people calling on medical support to become pregnant have at least one thing in common: a wish for (another) child. For some, this desire can only come true thanks to sperm or eggs donated by others.
You can make a significant contribution towards fulfilling this wish.
The main criteria for Sperm Donors are that they should be aged 18 to 44 and be healthy. To ascertain this, some tests will be conducted prior to a donation. No other treatments are required besides this: the only requirement is that the donor should not ejaculate in the preceding days and that he presents himself to deliver and hand over the semen sample.
Further information can be found on www.spermadonor.be. If you are interested in becoming a sperm donor, you may contact the Andrology Laboratory on number +32 (0)2 477 66 52.
The fact that there is a structural shortage of egg donors is insufficiently known, despite there being many women who could help address this problem.
Women who wish to donate their eggs should be aged between 24 and 35 years and be healthy.
As the sampling of eggs is done through a medical procedure, the Centre for Reproductive Medicine (CRG) pays significant attention to the medical supervision of egg donors. Even though the risks are very low, as with any medical procedure there might be certain risks and side effects involved.
Further information is available on www.eiceldonor.be. If you wish to donate eggs, please contact the CRG on number +32 (0)2 477 66 99.
