Only surgical masks allowed for patients and visitors at UZ Brussel
18 January 2022From now on, it is no longer allowed to enter the hospital with a reusable cloth face mask. If you come to the UZ Brussel, please wear a surgical mask. Wearing a mask is compulsory throughout the hospital from the age of 6.
All other precautions such as good hand hygiene and keeping your distance remain important, together with wearing a mask, to prevent the coronavirus from spreading, even if you have been vaccinated.
Tip: if you want to be sure that you are buying a surgical mask, check whether it has a CE mark and whether the word 'medical' or 'surgical' is present. Also a reference to the directive 93/42/CEE or the regulation 2017/745 and the standard 14683 show that it is a surgical or medical mask.
Thank you for your cooperation! Together we keep it safe.
