Heart examination (electrocardiogram)

The first time you visit an electrophysiologist, you will be required to undergo a basic examination, which consists of an electrocardiogram. No specific preparation is needed to perform an ECG. This is performed by the specialised Heart Rhythm Management Center, a subsidiary of the Centre for Cardiovascular Diseases. This was founded at UZ Brussel by Professor Pedro Brugada, who is an international authority.
