Visiting hours adult patients

Visiting hours adult patients

General rule

Hospitalised patients may receive a maximum of 2 visitors at the same time. Visiting hours are from 2 p.m. until 6.30 p.m.

Ward-specific rules

  • Covid patients: max. 1 visitor wearing an FFP2 mask. The duration of the visit is determined in consultation with the patient’s doctor.
  • Intensive Care: a nurse of the PIOEN communication centre keeps in touch with the patient’s family and discusses visiting hours after multidisciplinary consultation with all the patient’s care providers.
  • Maternity ward: the partner and brother(s) and/or sister(s) are always welcome. A maximum of 2 additional visitors at the same time applies. Try to avoid long visits (maximum one hour).
  • Psychiatric ward: different visiting hours apply:
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 5.30 p.m. - 7 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
    • Saturday, Sunday, public holidays: 1.30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Other arrangements may apply in some wards with very vulnerable patients. The ward will inform you in that case.
