Method
Laser stands for ‘Light amplification by stimulated emission radiation’. The required structures in the skin, such as blood vessels, pigment, tattoo particles, hair roots or collagen, are precisely and accurately reached by means of high-energy light, without harming the surrounding structure. Various laser devices are therefore necessary, each targeting a different structure depending on their wavelength.
Preparation for laser treatment
Each laser treatment is preceded by a consultation during which the necessary precautions are explained and an informed consent form is handed over. You should sign this form and bring it with you on the day of the treatment.
Bring a list of the medication that you take or apply every day (some medications are photosensitive or make your skin more sensitive to laser light).
